About Us

Phase I

          EarthStar Tai Chi was born in 1995 when Dale began teaching Tai Chi classes at local businesses & colleges. In 1999 Jeanne came out of retirement (Guilford County Schools--middle school French teacher), & Dale left his position as a Detective with the Greensboro Police Department to teach Tai Chi full time. They opened a metaphysical retail store & Tai Chi studio in Greensboro, NC, on Spring Garden Street, near UNC-G. 

Phase II

          Three years later.....in 2002, EarthStar Spiritual Center was created as an interfaith, non-profit spiritual organization; and Dale & Jeanne were ordained as Interfaith Ministers. Weekly meditation services were held as various topics were explored within the framework of eight altars: Mother Earth, Energy Healing, Taoism, Goddess/Divine Feminine, Native American, Christianity, Buddhism & Celtic. 
          Tai Chi, Women's Self-Defense, Goddess Fairs & Teas, Energy Healing, Drumming Circles & a host of other holistic events & workshops allowed the fellowship several options for spiritual education. 
          The energy healing ministries provided classes in which 20 Reiki Masters & 12 Huna Masters graduated. The ministry of the Triad Reiki Association evolved into the Holistic Practitioners of NC, a state-wide alliance with a free web listing for holistic practitioners. 
          The Minister Ordination ministry successfully granted ordination to 19 Interfaith Ministers. These ministers now serve in their own ministries of counseling, healing & wedding ceremonies. 

Phase III

          Dale & Jeanne moved the administrative portion of EarthStar Spiritual Center to their home in Greensboro, NC. They now travel locally, teaching various workshops in metaphysical/spiritual philosophies. Dale continues to teach his Tai Chi classes in the Piedmont Triad area. 
          EarthStar received its approval status from the NCBTMB in 2006 as a Continuing Education Provider for massage therapists. Thirty-two courses are now offered for CE credit with Dale & Jeanne & other EarthStar Certified & NCBTMB Approved Instructors. 

Phase IV

          Dale & Jeanne continue to work on their teachings as they focus on expanding EarthStar's mission. Work is now being done to facilitate classes for a Shamanic Mystery School in the fall of 2008, to offer Shamanic Life Coaching with Hawaiian Ho'oponopono & to travel the globe together.
